San Francisco Public Utilities Commision (SFPUC)

Project Description: Asset Risk Model Web Solution and GIS Integration

The Collection System Asset Management Program (CSAMP) is housed within an Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS) with dynamic connections to related data such as work order tracking, paving program, CCTV inspections and geospatial referenced data. The Oracle RDBMS is an advanced system requiring extensive training prior to operation. In an effort to provide the CSAMP data and related gravity sewer pipe attribute information, Online Mapping Solutions developed the web based GIS solution.

The User Interface has been designed as a reference point for project planning, rehabilitation and replacement of gravity sewer pipes that provides real time data; geographic and topographic information, condition, risk scores and characteristics. The UI is designed to let users query specific information by attributes such as age, material, class and whether or not the assets have been CCTV inspected. The query results data can be exported to Excel and the maps can be saved as an image-file format or printed. The UI can be viewed within the City’s intranet, using Windows authentication.

PlaneNoise

Project Description: PlaneNoise: Web GIS Services and Mapping

OMS developed a web based GIS solution to integrate with the PlanNoise Complaint Box. PlaneNoise, the leading provider of dedicated airport noise complaint management solutions in the US, today announced that the Port Authority of NY & NJ is the latest user of the PlaneNoise Complaint Box. PlaneNoise established a consolidated toll-free noise complaint hotline and developed an online complaint webform for collecting aircraft noise complaints at all five Port Authority airports: John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International, Teterboro and Stewart International.

Both the hotline and webform automatically feed Complaint Box’s online and web-accessable relational database that tracks, compiles and analyzes noise complaint data in real-time by airport, date and time of the noise event, complainant, location, complaint type and a variety of other critical factors. Additionally, the Port Authority is sharing its Complaint Box data with the Federal Aviation Administration.

American Samoa Department of Commerce

Project Description: GIS and Permitting Integration

OMS developed a web based GIS solution to integrate with an online licensing and case management software solution, complete with front-end customer interface and GIS based back-end government database management. The software package creates an online application system and back-end case management platform for three DOC tasks: (1) land use permitting; (2) business licensing; and (3) zoning variances. OMS partner PermitSoft provided modules along with citizen access: Building, Business License, and Code Enforcement. These modules will utilize the PermitCity software to assign tasks to multiple agencies and staff members. The movement and processing of the application will be fully controlled by the user, and is not automated.

City of Livermore, CA

Project Description: Enterprise GIS development

The City uses a hybrid system comprised of GeoMedia, AutoCAD Map, Autodesk MapGuide, ArcGIS and ArcSDE software. We work closely with the City’s GIS Coordinator and GIS Consultant, and are actively involved in the design and development of the the City’s web-based GIS application.

We have integrated the web GIS solution with several backend databases, primarily SQL Server, and third party applications. The application is used citywide and development is driven by users who attend monthly GIS User Group meeting. The system is also integrated with the City’s street viewer program iStreetView.

City of Vista, CA

Project Description: Enterprise GIS development

Developed and deployed intranet GIS web site using Autodesk MapGuide ("VistaGIS") used by all staff. Functionality includes but not limited to: search (by address, APN, Owner, Facility), display, print, reporting (all layers), public notification, custom buffering/proximity analysis, extract to Excel, custom attribute queries. Application also includes custom Map Update Request (MURF) tool with automatic email notification. The MURF web tool allows City staff to visually communicate desired updates to the map with staff.

San Benito County, CA

Project Description: Enterprise GIS development

Design, development, and implementation a web-based GIS solution using Autodesk MapGuide for intranet and internet access and featured on the County’s website. The application is integrated in many of the daily business processes for public works and planning staff.

The current phase of implementation includes development of an Enterprise Geodatabase Model to support County and City applications and further development and maintenance of the web GIS application.
